We recently posted about some positions we are looking to fill here at RD2. That caused us to think about how we communicate something that’s inevitably going to result in some very important decisions to be made by future RD2′ers and by us here. Ultimately, these have turned into some short, video portraits of our team. So, we pulled out the trusty cameras and went after some un-rehearsed sessions with some of our team members. This was a fun little experience and we hope to do more of it soon.

Words can’t describe how much this series is appreciated. As a designer who has his nose in everyones business (project management, client relations, some development along with design), I really take these words to heart because Rey, Eric, BJ, Ben and Patty described the ideal work environment for anyone… designer, developer, PM… who desires growth in their career instead of just a regular 9-to-5. Being a well-rounded professional contributes to success through and through – team, business, happy clients, and so on. Thanks! You guys are awesome!

Totally agree with BJ on the autonomy and integrated teams. When I worked with BJ at Affiniscape, he was telecommuting from Dallas. Yet, I had more success working with him remotely than I have with others in the same room.
Those philosophies remind me of the premise in the One Minute Manager book by Blanchard et al. Although in the above context, one would be one’s own manager.
Nice vids, everyone.
